DailyBridge — Help

What does DailyBridge do?

Every day at 8 PM, DailyBridge emails a summary of today's screen-time to the recipients you configured. It records only the timestamps of screen on/off and lock/unlock — never any per-app usage or browsing details.

Getting started

  1. Install DailyBridge from Google Play and open it.
  2. Enter one or more recipient email addresses (up to 5). Tap the + button to add more rows.
  3. Complete the Required Setup: tap to allow Unrestricted battery.
  4. Tap Start DailyBridge. The first email will arrive at 8 PM today.

You can preview what the daily email will look like any time using View Sample Email on the home page — it opens an in-app preview with sample content, so you can see the full layout right away (without waiting for your own data to accumulate).

Permissions explained

Battery optimization whitelist

Android's Doze mode aggressively freezes background apps after several minutes of inactivity. A frozen DailyBridge can't observe screen events, so the resulting summary has gaps. This is the only system permission DailyBridge needs — it requests no location or any other sensitive permission.

Adding DailyBridge to the battery-optimization whitelist exempts it from Doze. On Huawei / HarmonyOS phones, the equivalent is the App launch manager — see the Huawei section below.

How do I stop or resume DailyBridge?

On the home page, tap Pause DailyBridge. While paused, no email is sent. Resume by tapping Start DailyBridge in the same place.

Pausing does not delete your existing event log or recipient list — those are restored when you resume.

Recipient emails

Up to 5 recipients are supported. The form starts with one input row; tap the + button to add more rows. Tap the × next to a row to remove it.

Multiple recipients remain available on the free tier even after the trial expires.

Confirm a new recipient actually receives mail. When the app says a report was sent, that only means the email service accepted the request — it can't tell whether the address is real. A mistyped or non-existent address fails silently, with no warning. After adding a recipient, wait for the next 8 PM send, then check with them that it actually arrived (have them look in spam, too).

Trial & subscription

The first 14 days after install give you the full feature set. After 14 days without subscribing, the daily report degrades to a total-time-only summary (multi-recipient still works for free).

Subscribe via the top-right menu → Premium. Both monthly and annual plans are offered. Subscriptions sync across your devices automatically — use Restore Purchase on a new install.

I'm not receiving the email

If none of the above resolves it, please email us with the date and recipient address that didn't receive a report.
