DailyBridge — Help / FAQ

📝 Placeholder page — content will be expanded before public testing. Outline below.

What does DailyBridge do?

Every day at 8 PM, it automatically emails a summary of today's screen-time to the recipients you configured. It records only the timestamps of screen on/off and lock/unlock — never any per-app usage details.

How do I get started?

(To be filled in: install → configure → permission matrix → enable, the full first-run flow.)

Why does it need "Allow all the time" location permission?

(To be filled in: the Android 14+ requirement for type=location foreground services + the optional "Include location in daily report" feature.)

Why does it need the battery-optimization whitelist?

(To be filled in: Doze mode + the background-service-frozen problem.)

Vendor-specific keep-alive setup

(To be filled in: per-vendor autostart / background-activity / multitask-lock paths for Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, OnePlus, Samsung, Pixel.)

How do I stop / re-enable it?

App home → top-right menu → "Stop DailyBridge". While stopped, no events are recorded and no email is sent. Re-enable via the same menu by tapping "Enable DailyBridge".

How many recipient emails can I configure?

Up to 5. The form starts with one input row; tap the "+" button next to it to add more.

How long is the free trial? What happens after?

7 days, full features. After expiration without upgrade, the daily email degrades to a total-time-only summary (multi-recipient still works for free).

I'm not receiving the email — what do I check?

(To be filled in: check spam folder / verify recipient address spelling / make sure the App is on the keep-alive whitelist / check the debug screen send history.)
